Click Finish to exit. Installing Your Data Communications Software Data communications software is designed to send and receive messages. Multi-Tech includes data communications software with your modem. However, the modem will work with most data communications software. To install the data communications software provided with this modem, insert the CD into the CD- ROM drive and click on the PhoneTools icon. -

To access the Internet and Web via your modem, you must establish a dial-up account with an Internet service provider (ISP). Chapter 3 - Operation Like any modem, your Multi-Tech modem operates only under the control of a communications program, such as the communications program included with your modem. It also operates under other general-purpose data communication programs, such as Windows Terminal and HyperTerminal. For information on how to use the modem with the communications program of your choice, please refer to the documentation provided with the data communications program. -
