The increase in trace noise while subjected to the test field (3 V rms over the frequency range of 150 kHz to 80 MHz, with 80% amplitude modulation at 1 kHz) is not to exceed 1 major division peak-to-peak.

  • Page 19 Preface Preface This manual contains operating information for the TDS1000B and TDS2000B Series Digital Storage Oscilloscopes. The manual consists of the following chapters: The Getting Started chapter briefly describes features of the oscilloscope and provides installation instructions. The Operating Basics chapter covers operating principles of the oscilloscopes. The Understanding Oscilloscope Functions chapter describes basic operations and functions of an oscilloscope: setting up the oscilloscope, triggering, acquiring data, scaling and positioning waveforms, and taking measurements.
  • Page 20 If a newer version of firmware becomes available, you can use the Internet and a USB flash drive to update your oscilloscope. If you do not have access to the Internet, contact Tektronix for information on update procedures. NOTE. The oscilloscope requires you to use a USB flash drive of 2 GB or less to update the firmware.
