e. Maintenance of power tools. Check that moving parts are not misaligned or
stuck, that parts are broken and that there are no other conditions that could
affect the power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
g. Use the power tool, its accessories and tool bits, etc., in accordance with
these operating instructions and in the manner intended for the power tool,
considering the working conditions and the work to be performed. Using the
power tool for work other than that intended may result in dangerous
situations.
5. Safety warnings for drilling
Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss. NOTE: The
above warning applies only to impact drills and may be omitted for drills other
than impact drills. Use auxiliary handle(s) provided with the tool. Loss of control
may cause personal injury. Hold the power tool by insulated grip surfaces when
performing any operation where the cutting tool may encounter concealed wires
or its own cord. A cutting accessory that encounters a "live" wire may "live"
exposed metal parts of the power tool and cause electric shock to the user.
