How does it work?

This drill is equipped with a quick-clamping chuck.
This chuck is designed so that the chucks can be easily tightened and loosened with
two hands.
1. To open the quick-action drill chuck, grip the chuck collar with one hand. Turn
the chuck counter clockwise until the jaws of the chuck open far enough to
take the bit.
2. Insert the bit into the chuck along the full length of the claws or until the spiral
part of the bit is close to the claws of the chuck. Lift the front of your drill
slightly to prevent the bit from falling out of the chuck.
3. Secure the chuck claws to the bit by turning the chuck body in the proper
direction.
NOTE: Make sure the bit is properly aligned in the claws and NOT at an angle.
An improperly aligned bit may be ejected from the chuck when the drill is
started.
4. Complete the clamping of the chuck by holding the chuck collar with one hand
and firmly tightening the chuck body by turning it clockwise.
NOTE: Tighten the claws of the chuck by hand. DO NOT use pliers.
Removal of drill bits
1. To open the quick-action drill chuck, grasp the chuck collar with one hand and
hold it. Turn the chuck counter-clockwise until the jaws of the chuck open far
enough to release the bit.
2. Remove the bit.
