Electrical connection

Before you connect the steam
ironing system to the electricity
supply, you must check the
connection data (voltage and
frequency) on the data plate and
compare it with the data applicable
to your local power supply.
This data must match, otherwise
there is a risk of damage to the
steam ironing system.
If in doubt, consult a suitably
qualified electrician.
You will find the necessary connection
data on the data plate, which is located
in the tower behind the water container.
The steam ironing system is supplied
with a cable and moulded plug ready
for use with an alternating current of
50-60 Hz, 220-240 V. Connect the
steam ironing system only to a properly
installed and compliant earthed socket.
All electrical work must be carried out
by a suitably qualified and competent
person in accordance with current local
and national safety regulations.
The fuse must have a rating of at least
10 A. For extra safety, we recommend
protecting the appliance with a 30 mA
residual current device (RCD).
The socket should be next to the
appliance and easily accessible.
If the mains connection cable is faulty,
it must only be replaced by a suitably
qualified electrician.

Do not use a multi-socket adapter or
an extension lead to connect the
steam ironing system to the power
supply.
Extension leads or multi-socket
adapters do not guarantee the
required safety of the steam ironing
system (e.g. danger of overheating).
Do not connect the steam ironing
system to an off-grid inverter. These
devices are used for autonomous
power supply, e.g. a solar power
system.
Power surges could cause a safety
cut-out. This could damage the
electronics.
Do not use the steam ironing system
with so-called "energy saving plugs".
These reduce the energy supply to
the appliance, which could generate
excessive heat.
