3.3.2.2 The picture displayed should not with distortion, interfered or tracery etc. ( refer
picture 3);And balanced L/R speaker audio should without distortion or sound cross.
Notice: You could select other testing picture, but it should be in static.
Picture 3 (Test picture's color should be fresh)
If the colour of picture is no good, need to enter Factory Setting Menu to adjust the colour.
The method is: open the signal generator (54200/5418) grey scale test mode, refer to the
operation 1 to enter Factory Setting Menu page 1 ( refer above picture 2), then use

adjustment is ok, select "SAVE" item, then press
press EXIT to quit the setting.
Notice: Must use the Signal Generator's Grey Scale Test Mode to adjust the colour
of picture.
Press INPUT button to enter S-VIDEO mode, to ensure get better picture and L/R audio
is in balanced.

TV testing:
3.3.3.1
Picking up ATV signal to select channel 1、2 & 3:
General Figure
Channel 1:
Grey Scale without distortion or interfered; Fresh color bar and clear teeming multi-wave;
Cycle without distortion; Press NICAM button to switch into NICIAM DUAL into I、II &
MONO audio output.
Landscape & dramatis personae Figure
Channel 2:
Figure should be actual & natural ,clear accompanying sound without distortion or
interfered; press TEXT button to watch teletext, and check Page 101 to see if there are
missing, error or disorder code when the teletext page is refurbished.
Channel 3: PHILIPS Cycle Figure
Should be clear and better resolution .Press NICAM button to switch into NICIAM
STEREO into MONO & STEREO( L/R) audio output.
3.3.3.2
Connecting SCART cable to a SCART jack of another TV. And the
output figure should be same as being tested one without clear difference,
output L/R audio should be OK too.
