    ABOUT OPTICAL DISCS Disc Requirements This DVD player supports playback of the following discs. Type Digital Video Disc (DVD) Audio Compact Discs (CD) JPEG Picture CD This unit can play back CD-R and CD-RW discs that contain audio titles or JPEG picture files.

  • Page 14 GETTING STARTED The remote control transmits a directional infrared beam. Be sure to aim the remote control directly at the infrared remote sensor during opera- tion. The sensor may not be able to receive signals properly if the sensor is covered, if there is a large object between the remote control and the sensor, or if it is exposed to direct sunlight or a strong artificial light (e.g., fluorescent or strobe lights).

Stereo or surround sound will require a Stereo TV or Surround AV receiver, respectively.

    CONNECTIONS Component Video Connection (Progressive Scan) The Component Video jacks of the DVD player are capable of outputting video at a resolution of 480p (480-progressive). 480p is the native format of DVD video. The Component Video connection must be enabled in the Setup menu prior to use.
