Sclects the im m ediate print m ode, in which the printer prints each
churucter as soon as received. A t every pause in the incom ing data stream
the printer scrolls the paper up about 2 inches so that the current line
cun be seen. W hen the next character is received the paper is scrolled
back down and printing continues. This com m and is ignored when friction
Iced is used.

com pleted before printing it, and d oes not scroll the paper up and down.

Sets the printer off-line. The printer disregards all subsequent characters
and com m ands except < DC1 > , which returns it to the on-line state.
The printer's On Line indicator does not go off.

all subsequent characters and com m ands. This com m and is ignored if
the printer was set off-line by pressing the On Line switch on the control
panel.
