Resetting your smartphone using recovery mode
If you cannot reset your smartphone using the system, you can
reset it using recovery mode.
Please note that the following description is only suitable for
advanced users.
Your smartphone is switched off.
If you cannot switch it off using the system, open
the battery compartment cover and remove the
battery (
p. 13). Then reinsert the battery and
close the battery compartment cover.
When resetting to default settings, the internal
storage and all your personal data will be deleted.
Downloaded apps, music, photos etc. will be
removed and your Google account login will be
cancelled.
Hold down the on/off button and volume + button (top) at
the same time.
Boot mode selection will be displayed.
Press the volume + button (top) until Recovery mode is
selected

Recovery mode is displayed.
Press the volume - button (bottom) until Wipe data/
factory reset is selected
Press the volume - button (bottom) until Factory data reset is selected

Your smartphone will be reset to the default settings and all data will be deleted. You will then
have to reboot your smartphone.
