OPERATING YOUR WATER URN

Before first use

Remove all packaging from the Urn.
It is recommended that before the first use, the Water Urn is filled to the MAX line (marker
located inside the body), allow the Water Urn to boil and then discard the water.
Follow these quick steps before using the Water Urn:
1. Fully unwind the power cord from the base.
2. Place the Water Urn on a dry, stable and level, heat resistant surface.
3. Remove the lid and fill the Water Urn to the MAX line. To remove the lid turn it anti-clockwise
4. After filling the Water Urn, ensure the lid is replaced properly. The lid is designed to twist
in place.
5. Plug the power cord into a 230/240V power outlet and switch it on. The "Heating" light
will illuminate
6. Wait for the water to reach temperature, the "Heating" light will go out and the "Hot"
light will illuminate.
7. Turn the Urn off, unplug it from the wall and discard all water through the faucet.
8. There may be some water left inside, carefully pour the remainder out.
9. Take care when pouring as the water is hot!
10. Rinse thoroughly with hot water.
11. Do not rinse with cold water as sudden temperature changes may cause the body to warp.

How to use

1. Turn the lid anti-clockwise to open and pour in water. Make sure the water is below the
"MAX " water level indicator. To close, reposition the lid and turn it clockwise.
2. Connect the plug to the power socket.
3. Switch it to the ON position. The "Heating" light will illuminate and the water will start
to heat up. When the water has reached temperature the "Heating" light will go out
and the "Hot" light will illuminate, showing that the appliance is in the state of
preserving heat.
4. Use the faucet to dispense water.
5. Pull the faucet lever forward. The faucet will stay down.
6. Once the desired amount of water is dispensed flick the faucet lever back up to stop the
flow of water.
7. When approximately three cups of water are remaining in the tank, turn the appliance off
and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
8. Always make sure at least three cups of water are remaining in the tank to prevent the
boil-dry protection feature commencing.
9. The Water Urn can be very heavy when filled with water and should never be moved
when filled with more than 5L (5L =5Kg approximately). The Water Urn should not be
carried or moved when full of water as the weight and unsteady load can cause injury or
strain. The Water Urn should be placed in the position of use and filled with a hose or
several trips with a smaller, manageable container (eg a jug).
