Recommendations for application planning

Observe the climatic and mechanical conditions specified in the technical
specifications.

The device is suitable for use in industrial environments (IP65)

When selecting the installation site, avoid widely varying lighting effects on
the object.
Note
The SIMATIC1 MV230 cannot be used for safety-related applications
(e.g. protection of persons) due to its physical characteristics.
Installation /Mounting
Mounting the SIMATIC MV230
M4 fixing holes (see dimension drawing) are used to mount the
SIMATIC MV230 (e.g. on the device holder of the support system). The support
system for industrial sensors is optionally available as an accessory.
Grounding the SIMATIC MV230
The SIMATIC MV230 can be grounded or non-grounded. In the grounded ver-
sion, at least two fixing holes have to be connected with the earth potential.
To improve EMC a grounded version is recommended.
