1. Disabling IE ActiveX Warnings
When I try to load the mCam application, Internet Explorer displays an ActiveX warning. How can
I resolve this?
There are 2 ways:
• Turn off the Active Content Warning in Internet Explorer. This will allow ActiveX content to
run from your local My Computer without any warnings being generated.
• Allow Active Content from the Security Bar (one time only). This will allow the ActiveX control
to run for this session, but you will need to do this every time you run the application.
Turn off Internet Explorer's Active Content Warning
The default configuration settings for Internet Explorer will display a warning when it tries to
display a page that contains Active Content.
Lorex mCam uses Active Content to interact with the cameras. To disable this warning message:
1. Open Internet Explorer, and select the 'Tools' option from the menu. Click
on the 'Internet Options' selection at the bottom of the menu.
