  • Page 23 Appearance The EG8020P needs to be used with auxiliary power adapters produced by Huawei. Therefore, this section describes the EG8020P as well as the required power adapter. The EG8020P can adapt to the 86-type junction box and the standard junction box (110 mm x 125 mm x 30 mm). To adapt to these boxes, the EG8020P uses different shells and fixing plates.

To drill holes, break the adhesive part using a tool such as a plier to obtain complete holes for cable routing.

To install the EG8020P, perform the following steps: Step 1 Use a screwdriver to remove the panel of the 86-type junction box from the wall. (Skip this step if there is no panel.) Step 2 Prepare the power terminal as follows:...
  • Page 28 Remove the protective cover from the power terminal, and use a flat-head screwdriver to loosen the screw on the terminal. The power terminal supports cables with a diameter of 0.25mm to 1.3mm after stripping. Insert the cold press terminal into the power terminal. Last, tighten the screw, install the protective cover, and insert the power terminal into the power port.
  • Page 29 The power cable can be inserted into the terminal without the need of distinguishing the positive and negative poles. Step 3 Lead the power connector and route the optical fiber out of the hole in the lower left corner of the fixing plate, install the power adapter on the 86-type junction box, and secure it using M4x30 screws.

GE port It is a service LAN port used for connecting to the Ethernet and support PoE power supply. It can be also used to connect devices such as IP phones and PCs.

    Logging In to the Web Page Please log in to the Web page of the EG8020P as follows: Step 1 Configure the IP address of the PC to be in the same subnet as the LAN IP address of the EG8020P.
  • Page 37 If the version of the IE browser you are using is IE 8.0 or lower version, you are advised to upgrade it to IE 11.0 or higher version in order to access the Web interface properly. If not perform any operation within five minutes after you log on to the Web interface, timeout, the system automatically returns logged.
