The looping setup for the K-Rain KRC 9 involves the following steps:

1. Use the controls to toggle between hours, minutes, or seconds for the desired loop duration.
2. Set the run times for each zone.
3. Adjust the time between loops as needed.
4. Enable looping by selecting "LOOP ON."
5. Set the number of loops required.
6. Adjust the looping time settings, ensuring consistency with the program's timing.
7. Save the loop settings.
8. The looping setup affects PROGRAM 5, which controls automatic looping.

This setup allows repeated watering cycles with specified intervals between each loop.

The manual does not say what happens to an automatic watering program when the power goes off. Is the watering program aborted? Does it continue as if the power is still on? Or is it suspended until the power goes back on? These questions are important, as the controller is intended for use with an Off-Grid Solar system whose Inverter may drop out in cloudy weather when the system batteries run low.

When the power goes off, the outputs of the K-Rain KRC 9 controller do not run because the internal transformer requires mains power to operate the valves. The lithium battery helps maintain data during power outages, but it does not power the outputs. Therefore, automatic watering programs will not run during a power outage.

I cannot find anything in the manual that explains what "contractor memory is" and what it is used for.

Contractor Memory in the K-Rain KRC 9 is a feature that allows users to save a specific watering program for future use. It is used to upload and store a preset program configuration, which can be reloaded when needed. To save a program to Contractor Memory, the main dial must be turned to "ALL OFF," and then two buttons must be pressed simultaneously until the display reads "LOAD UP" and "SAVE CONTRACTOR MEMORY."
