Thank you for purchasing the L K V-04 8 0/L K V-0 8 8 0/L K V-16 8 0
R a c km o un t K V M S w itch! This R ackmount KVM Switch is designed for
computer/server managem ent on a centralized single admin desk in
corporate, factory as well as in campus computing environm ent. It
features a console port to connect your shared keyboard, video and
m ouse, and 4/8/16 PC ports to connect to your com puters/servers. You
can simply place it on desktop or m ount it on a standard 19" rack for m ore
secured and centralized m anagem ent.
This KVM Switch features a m etal enclosure for better shielding against
electromagnetic interference com monly seen in lab or factory floor
environm ent. It also features a h o t-plugg in g capability that allows you to
plug off and on the KVM cablings without powering down a w hole rack of
servers, especially convenient w hen you are working on a sever rack.

Before you install
The default setting of the L K V-04 8 0/L K V-08 8 0/LK V-1 6 80 R ackm oun t
K V M S w itc h is appropriate for m ost systems. In fact, you do not have to
m ake any configuration before installation. It's
installation: Just connect and set up the cable connections for the KVM
switch and your com puters, boot them up in correct sequence and you
can start to operate im m ediately!
For a quick start on installation and operation, please follow the
instructions below.
Out-of-the-box Installation
S te p 1 . C onnect the shared mouse, keyboard and monitor to the console
port connectors on the backpanel of your KVM Switch.
S te p 2. Just connect your com puters (no matter they are pow ered on or
off!) to the PC ports at the backpanel of the KVM Switch using
the KVM combo cables. You can use individual standard
keyboard, mouse and video cables for connection, although the
3-in-1 combo cable is highly
convenience.
S te p 3. If your com puter is still not pow ered up, then power them up.
O nce the computers are powered up

Easy Operation
There are two methods to select a specific com puter, using a front-panel
push button or a hotkey sequence.
Front-pa n e l p ush butto n s
The front-panel buttons let you have direct control over KVM switch
operation and channel switching. Simply press a button to switch to its
corresponding channel.
