PRESET PROGRAMS

P1- Automatic: This is the simplest and most versatile program. If you are

uncertain how to proceed, you are using a BIOSEC for the first time or you just
have a product that is so unusual that it doesn't fit into any other category,
select P1 - maximum temperature 55°C - H: 30h+MN
P2- Mushrooms and thin slices: perfect for mushrooms and products that
are not too watery, to be dried in thin slices (4-6mm), such as apples, pears,
courgettes, aubergines, etc. - maximum temperature 50°C - H: 18h+MN
P3- BioRawism: designed specifically for those following a raw food diet. Bi-
oRawism reaches 42°C in the first two hours, then goes down to 40°C, re-
specting the need to keep to this limit. It is extremely gentle, making it excel-
lent also for herbs and medicinal plants - maximum temperature 42°C - H:
indefinite (stop when the desired degree of drying has been reached).
P4- Superhot: the hottest program, just below cooking (cooking is achieved
from 70 degrees upwards). This program is ideal for products that contain a
lot of water to be drained, such as tomatoes, apricots or plums, but it is also
perfect for meat and fish as it slows down the proliferation of bacteria. Also
perfect for meringue, which would require a delicate and fairly long process
to make it in the oven: the BIOSEC temperature precision and airing avoids
unwanted burning, while your oven is kept free for other uses - maximum
temperature 68°C - H: 24h+MN
P5- Pasta: This program is specifically for processing fresh pasta, thanks to
the combination of a suitable temperature and gentle ventilation that pre-
vents cracks in the surface of the product. However, you need to keep an
eye on it and check the desired degree of drying from time to time and for
all other types of preparation - maximum temperature 30°C - H: 16h+MN
P6- Economy: for those who like to keep an eye on environmental issues and
their wallet, or who simply have lots of appliances working: select program
P6, slightly longer drying times mean greater savings. Ideal also for camp-
ing, camper vans or hotels, where there is limited power supply. P6 uses a
maximum of 270W - maximum temperature 45°C -H: indefinite (stop when
the desired degree of drying has been reached).
P7- Silent: This is the most suitable program for at night or for those using the
BIOSEC in the workplace, to keep noise to a minimum. The fan speed is de-
signed specifically to minimise noise without compromising on efficacy! Try
it with all small and light products (saffron, small leaves etc.) which could
blow away on other programs - maximum temperature 45°C -H: 48h+MN
