IMPORTANT
To enable your BIOSEC to determine the correct operating temperature in
relation to the product loaded and the program selected, start the motor
only after having put it in its housing inside the tunnel and always load all
the baskets, even if partly or totally empty.
Although the motor can be taken out of the housing during operation, DO
NOT rest it on a horizontal surface with the fan covered, but always keep it
upright, if possible after pausing it.
CAUTION
If turned off (with the ON/OFFbutton) at an operating tempera-
ture above 45°C, the food dehydrator will interrupt the process-
ing cycle but the fan will remain on at maximum speed until the
motor cools down to prevent it being damaged. The screen on
fig. 2
the BIOSEC will display the symbol in fig. 2 in rotation.

POWER OUTAGE

In the event of a power failure, the dryer will restart the cycle set previously
but the display will signal the fault with two flashing dots. Always check the
state of the products inside: if the power goes for an extended period, it may
have become spoiled.
NEVER UNPLUG FROM THE SOCKET WHEN THE BIOSEC IS IN OPERATION.
ONLY UNPLUG FROM THE SOCKET WHEN THE FAN HAS STOPPED.
HOW TO TURN OFF THE BIOSEC
Once the dryer is switched off with the ON/OFF button, the display will start
flashing, showing the name of the last programme used.
This is its way of telling you that it is in stand-by mode, like at any electrical
appliance. The display therefore remains on. If you wish to turn it off com-
pletely, unplug it or turn off the switch on the electrical socket.
It may happen that, after pressing ON/OFF and before the programme flash-
es, the fan speeds up for a few seconds: it is cooling the motor system to
prevent excess heat from compromising the internal components in the
long run. Wait for the fan to finish this process: it never takes more than a
minute. At this point the display will begin to flash: this is the signal that au-
thorises us to disconnect the plug.
