MAINTENANCE MODE

BIOSEC has a maintenance stage that allows the products to be
kept at the optimum drying level with minimal energy consump-
tion at the end of the drying.
Once the drying process is complete, there is therefore no need

to hurry to remove the product before it rehydrates because the BIOSEC will
preserve it for you until you have time to remove it.
The maintenance stage always starts automatically when a program with
a preset duration finishes or when a time entered manually is up.
With BIOSEC is also possible to activate MAINTENANCE mode for programs
that do not include it, or even during a drying cycle that has not finished yet.
Simply press the SET button for 5 seconds while the BIOSEC is in operation:
the screen will show the numbers 00 which will flash for about 2 seconds.
Release the button to enter the MAINTENANCE program, which will remain
running until the BIOSEC is turned off manually, to see to when you are ready
to collect and preserve your products. During MAINTENANCE, a symbol like in
fig. 1 will be displayed. The machine will alternate between moments of op-
eration and moments of pause. During operation, the temperature is around
42 °C.
TIMER: manual setting of the drying time
BIOSEC lets you choose the number of hours you desire for the selected dry-
ing process independently.
You can choose a number between 0 and 72 at any time, by automatically
replacing any preset duration of the current program. This function is ena-
bled on all programs.
1. Start the drying process, then press and hold the SET button for about 5
seconds;
2. The numbers 00 will be displayed and flash for about 2 seconds;
3. Press the SET button again (before 00 stops flashing) as many times as is
necessary to reach the number of hours desired.
Hours displayed:
00 - 01 - 02 - 03 - 04 - 05 - 06 - 08 - 10 - 12 - 14 - 16 - 18 - 20 - 24 - 28 - 32 -
36 - 40 - 44 - 48 - 72 - 00 (the series of hours is repeated).
The program that was previously set will continue to run, without the need to
press any other button.
At the end of the set time, the BIOSEC will automatically add the mainte-
nance function including for programs that did not originally include it. If
the preselected number is 00, the BIOSEC will add the maintenance function
directly.
Choosing a new program will cancel settings entered manually with the
timer function.
To change or reset the timer, repeat the process from the beginning.
