Appendix A: SBIG STF Camera Details
A-1 Connector pinouts
The STF-8300M camera connectors are shown above, but the pinout data provided
below is applicable to all the STF series cameras.
USB connector pinout is to the USB standard.
GUIDE PORT (RJ-12), female connector. The diagram shows the pin number
identification when looking into the camera's connector.
Pin 1: AUX
Pin 2: COMMON
Pin 3: X- (for the Right Ascension axis)
Pin 4: Y- (for the Declination axis)
Pin 5: Y+ (for the Declination axis)
Pin 6: X+ (for the Right Ascension axis)
Note: AUX is normally not connected
POWER
This barrel connector is centre-positive and requires an input of +12.0 VDC
(range: 10.0 to 14.5 VDC) at 3 amps for most models, and 6 amps for the
STF-4070 and STF-8050 models. The recommended mating connector is a
Switchcraft S760K, available from DigiKey.
