Interrupt, error and system messages
6.4.1

General

The COM190 communication module is designed as a diagnostics-capable IO device. It
detects internal and external faults and signals them to the IO controller as diagnostic,
maintenance or process alarms. These can be evaluated, for example, in TIA using the alarm
OBs.
You can obtain detailed information on the error event when an alarm occurs, e.g. using the
SFB54 (RALRM) in the corresponding alarm OB.
The alarms of the COM190 are implemented as diagnostic, maintenance or process alarms
with channel information.
6.4.2

Structure of the diagnostic messages

The basic structure of the diagnostic data sets with the individual data blocks is described
below.
Diagnostic, maintenance and process alarms
The structure of the diagnostic data sets for all alarm messages is identical apart from the
"UserStructIdentifier" field.
The alarm block types start after the "UserStructIdentifier" field. They can occur one to n times
and contain the actual diagnostic, maintenance or process alarm information.
