Chapter 2 gives an overview of the router's hardware and software features, describes its appearance and the package contents. Chapter 3 explains how to install the router DIR-842 and configure a PC in order to access its web- based interface.

You are able to connect the wireless router DIR-842 to a cable or DSL modem or to a private Ethernet line and use a high-speed Internet connection to successfully fulfill a wide range of professional tasks.
Page 7 (the interface is available in two languages – in Russian and in English). The configuration wizard allows you to quickly switch DIR-842 to one of the following modes: router (for connection to a wired or wireless ISP), access point, repeater, or client, and then configure all needed setting for operation in the selected mode in several simple steps.

To get started, please set your own password used to access the web-based interface and, if needed, configure other settings recommended by your ISP.
