Secondary injection testing via PXPM

Power Xpert Protection Manager (PXPM) software is avail-
able to test breakers equipped with PXR trip units.
With PXPM, secondary injection testing becomes as
simple as plugging a USB cord from a laptop to the PXR
and performing the test. Figure 67 shows how to set up
a secondary injection test through PXPM. This feature
requires an active PXPM license. Refer to document
TD013168EN PXPM quick start guide for more information.

Once all settings have been selected, the user will run the
test. Figure 68 is an example of a completed test.
If you would like to run another test, select "Continue
Testing"
If testing is complete, select "Stop Testing"

After a completed test, there will be the option to continue
testing or to stop testing. If the user chooses to "Stop
Testing, " then a prompt will occur about printing a test
report (.PDF). An example of this printable test report is
shown in Figure 69.

Internal Secondary Injection Test
The trip unit uses an independent built-in circuit to gener-
ate a test signal that is injected into the sensor input
circuit, see Figure 70 below. This test feature replaces the
need for an external secondary injection test kit.
