Lock-off cover
When padlocked, a lockout cover maintains the OPEN
button in the ACTUATED position, preventing breaker
closure both manually (via the CLOSE pushbutton) and
electrically (via the spring release, if equipped).

Cassette safety shutters
Automatically operated insulating type safety shutters
are available for use with the drawout cassette. When a
drawout breaker is levered from the CONNECT position,
the shutters automatically close to cover the fixed primary
contacts. When the breaker is levered into the cassette,
the shutters automatically open, permitting primary
connections to be made.

Padlockable shutters
Each circuit breaker compartment is provided with
insulated shutters (breaker driven) that automatically
slide into position to cover stationary cell primaries to
prevent contact with low-voltage circuit when the breaker
is moved from connected to test position. Optional
Provisions for padlocking the shutters open or closed is
available at the time of ordering the cassette.
Cassette cell switch
The cassette cell switch is a compartment position switch
for drawout breakers. It is available in a 4 form C or 8 form
C contact configuration, and mounts on the right or left
side of the cassette. Refer to the ratings table presented
earlier in this section near the auxiliary switch discussion
for cell switch contact information. The cell switch changes
status between the TEST and CONNECT positions.
