Step 14: Stratagy DK Maintenance

To maintain the

Tools (Main Menu selection)

We recommend that before you finish the installation process, you back up your new database,

mailbox names and greetings.

The following Tools menu selections will be needed for maintenance of the Stratagy DK (see

Figure 2):

Retrieve Trace File

Backup Utility

The Stratagy Backup Utility is used to back up information from the Stratagy DK hard drive to

the hard drive of the portable/desktop computer.

CAUTION!

Backup functions are available for either a customer's database or mailbox names and

greetings, or both.They consist of:

All mailbox settings and information, Stratagy system configuration settings, notification

templates, auto schedules, and all information concerning the selected telephone system's

integration information.

Mailbox names and greetings

All names and greetings that have been recorded for all programmed mailboxes (personal

and company).

Backing up your Stratagy system regularly enables you to restore your system with minimal

data loss if the system fails (hard drive failure, etc.).

Messages cannot be backed up.
