DETECTION FEATURES

5.1 Counterfeit Detection

The Cassida 9900R detects counterfeit bills through the following built-in detection systems
(all activated by default):
- Ultraviolet (UV) light
- Magnetic (MG) ink
- Infrared (IR)
- Contact Image Sensor (CIS)
Suspected bills are automatically directed to the reject pocket and are not added to the count.
Please note that not every single suspect bill is guaranteed to be counterfeit regardless of its specific
condition. Several factors may cause recognizing a genuine bill as counterfeit or vice versa, including
direct sunlight exposure, excessive wear or soiling or highly advanced counterfeiting techniques used to
produce the bill. Separate equipment may be required to definitively determine whether a bill is counterfeit
or not.
