About This Manual This manual contains instructions for installing and configuring the National Instruments VME-AT2000 interface kit. This manual is meant to be used with the NI-VXI C Software Reference Manual for VME, the NI-VXI Software Reference Manual for BASIC, and the NI-VXI DOS Utilities Reference Manual.

Avoid touching any of the IC components or connectors. Inspect them for loose components or any other sign of damage. Notify National Instruments if either board appears damaged in any way. Do not install equipment that appears to be damaged.
AT-MXI is automatically initialized at startup. The configuration settings can be modified using the VXIEDIT.EXE program. • RESMAN.EXE is the National Instruments multimainframe Resource Manager. RESMAN.EXE may be executed only after VXIINIT.EXE has been run. • VIC.EXE is an interactive control program that executes functions you enter from the keyboard.
