The discharge air sensor will sample the discharge air
temperature. If, after 4 minutes, the discharge air tem-
perature has not begun to warm significantly, high
speed compressor will be energized.

The discharge air sensor will continue to sample the
discharge air temperature. If, after 4 minutes, the dis-
charge air temperature still has not begun to warm sig-
nificantly, auxiliary heat will be sequenced on begin-
ning with W1.
Output LED W1 (followed by W2 and W3 at 2-1/2

minute intervals) on (Auxiliary heat).
7
Remove the heat demand from zone 1.
Output LEDs Y1 (and Y2) off. (compressor off)
D
LED 1DZ off. (Damper is still open)
D
LEDs 2DZ through 4DZ off. (Dampers open)
D
Output LED G off. (blower off)

Heat Pump Multiple Zone Heating
8
Apply heating demand (and auxiliary heating de-
mand) to all thermostats.
D
Input LEDs Y1 through Y4 on. (Heat demand)
D
LEDs 1DZ through 4DZ off. (All dampers open)

Output LED Y1 on. (Compressor on)
9
The compressor in the outdoor unit will begin operat-
ing in the heating mode (low speed if a two speed
compressor is used).
10 The indoor blower will start at approximately the same
time. The blower will operate at a speed according to the
setting of the CFM jumper for zone 1. It may take the
blower 60 to 90 seconds to reach this speed.
11 The discharge air sensor will sample the discharge air
temperature. If, after 4 minutes, the discharge air tem-
perature has not begun to warm significantly, high
speed compressor will be energized.

To check the amount of air being delivered to each
zone, repeat steps 2 through 5 for each zone to con-
firm that each zone damper is working properly.
15
Remove all demands.
Heat Pump Central Control Heating
1
Press the central control and fan auto switches on the
system control panel. The control panel may be set for
heating or auto changeover. See figure 28.
