CAP converter (F598 – digital satellite TV amplifier)
The CAP converter is the central control unit for controlling the turntable of the satellite aerial.
The CAP converter handles the communication and control of the satellite system. This enables fully automatic
alignment of the satellite aerial for receiving digital satellite signals.
It is attached to the retaining frame under the right front seat. The CAP converter is not an amplifier.

The status LED indicates the current status of the satellite system via permanent illumination or flashing in
different colours. The meanings of the displays in normal operation, in the event of an error or during updates are
described in detail in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
The USB port can be used to connect the UFZ 131 / UFZ 132 Wi-Fi adapter and to update software and
programme lists via USB flash drive. The current country-specific programme lists and software updates can be
downloaded from the Kathrein-ds website.
The procedures for updating programme lists and for software updates are described in the manufacturer's
operating instructions.
