INSTALLATION & SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
BACnet Flow Controller (BFC) Installation and Operation

STEP 8D: Wire unit according to wiring diagram found on page 59 and 60.
Polarity is important and must be observed. It is also vital that the 24 VAC common side of the transformer be Earth
NOTE:
grounded.
STEP 9D: Hook up applicable BACnet, and/or local Building Automation System (BAS) according to wiring diagram found on
page 59 and 60. 'For multiple units, use provided able to daisy chain units together. If using BAS or Local Setpoint, skip to step
14D (formerly 12G) for applicable reference instructions.
Create render of FFU-HE's daisy chained together and insert after this step
NOTE:
For additional information on BACnet, and the BFC controller, refer to the BACnet Wiring Guidelines, and BFC Manual
which are available on the Price website (priceindustries.com).
STEP 10D: Wire the unit according to appropriate wiring diagram. Refer to table below for reference page number. If Power Cord
(PC) option is selected, simply insert plug end into electrical socket.

NOTE:
Wiring should be carried out by a certified electrician and meet national and local electrical codes.
STEP 11D: If using RSR filter, refer to page 21 for installation instructions.
Ensure that the space is clean, free of debris, and that ducts are cleaned and ready for operation prior to installation of filter
NOTE:
STEP 12D: Ensure proper Voltage is hooked up, and turn unit on.
STEP 13D: Configure BACnet addressing (if applicable).
STEP 14D: Using the desired method of control (local, BAS, or BACnet) set unit airflow.

Local Setpoint:

Refer to page 15 for the ECMDX Speed Controller instructions for calculating Local Setpoint value.

Hold down 'Enter/Menu' button for 5 seconds, display will show 'Passcode". Use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrow keys to
enter this sequence: Down, Up, Up, Down.

Use 'Up' and 'Down' arrow keys to manually enter Local Setpoint value; numbers will be displayed on LCD screen.

BAS:

Refer to page 10 for the ECM Speed Controller instructions for calculating VDC.

BACnet:
-
Log into Building Management System, or Price supplied BFC-FE front end.

Calculate Local Setpoint value using the equations on page 15 from the ECMDX instructions.

Write this value into ECM Setpoint BACnet point.
