  • Page 2 INTRODUCTION Description The Thermostatic Power Shower is an all-in-one power shower with an integral mains voltage pump, with separate controls for flow and temperature. It features a 15mm dual entry push-fit manifold to enable the appliance to support various inlet supply configurations.

Exceeding the units duty cycle The motor is fitted with a thermal cut out device, if temperatures become too high the device will cut the power to the motor but will self-reset once temperatures have normalised.

    Running in period For storage reasons the pump motor has a protective film on the motor contacts. This may produce a burning smell for a period of up to 5 days after installation, this is normal.     DO NOT operate this Thermostatic Power Shower if it is frozen. Allow the unit to thaw before using again. If water leaks from the pressure relief valve, maintenance will be required before the Thermostatic Power Shower can be safely used.

  • Page 11 Do not use compounds on the shower unit joints, they may cause damage to the mechanism inside. Do not insert fingers into the Push Fit connections. The supply pipe ends must be free from burrs, which, ifnot removed will damage the Push fit seals. If plated tubing is used for inlet pipework remove 25mm of plating to ensure good seal.

Pull off inner temperature control, temperature indicator and outer flow control to reveal cover securing screw. Unscrew cover securing screw and lift cover from bottom to remove.
  • Page 13 Ensure that the end of the supply pipework is cut squarely and free from Chamfer burrs, which will damage the inlet manifold seals. Chamfer the end of the pipe to assist insertion into the fitting and prevent tearing the ‘O’ seal. Locate base unit onto inlet supplies against the wall, in the chosen position.
  • Page 14 Using the push-fit release/ lock tool, place twin bladed side on the face of the connectors and push grey collars into manifold to release from supply pipes. Drill wall and insert wall plug. The wall plugs supplied may not be suitable for the type of wall being fixed to.
  • Page 15 13. Lock push-fit collars using the push-fit release/lock tool using the single end to lift the grey locking collars. 14. Insert 2 Blanking Plugs into unused inlets by pushing in firmly and lock using tool. 15. Before making any electrical connection turn on water supplies and check supply connections for leaks.

    COMMISSIONING Priming the unit The unit must not be run dry. Before proceeding any further with the installation it is important to prime the pump assembly before switching on the electrical supply. Connect the flexible hose only to the shower outlet of the unit.
  • Page 18: Maximum Temperature Setting

    Maximum Temperature Setting It may be necessary to adjust the maximum temperature for site conditions to ensure safe showering from the unit. Ensure hot water temperature is at least 10°C above the required temperature from the unit. To reset the maximum outlet temperature the sequence below should be followed:- Turn outer flow control anticlockwise to full on.

    OPERATION Thermostatic Power Shower For safety reasons this appliance is fitted with an adjustable maximum temperature setting. This must be checked and adjusted as necessary to suit both site conditions and user’s comfort. Turn the outer flow control knob until the desired flow of water is obtained.
