Overview

Purpose
This section provides instructions for routing and connecting the following cables to the
Alcatel-Lucent 9764 Metro Dock:
• Grounding cable
• Ethernet cable, either:
- Fiber optic cable (for optical backhaul)
- Electrical cable (for electrical backhaul)
Note: For outdoor NAR installations, or where local regulations dictate, the facility and
power cables are required to be routed to the equipment within rigid-steel or liquid-tight
flexible metal conduit. As part of site preparation, the customer must provide the metal
conduit and associated fittings for cable routes and connecting conduit to the outdoor
equipment.
