CONTROLS
A camera at the base of the interior mirror
controls the system.
The Forward Collision Warning is available
even if cruise control has been deactivated.
The driver's own driving behavior is taken
into account in the reactions of the system,
e.g., if you deliberately approach a vehicle,
the Forward Collision Warning and the
brake intervention will take place later.
General information
The system issues a two-phase warning of
an imminent risk of collision at speeds from
approx. 3 mph/5 km/h. The timing of
warnings may vary with the current driving
situation.
If necessary, a brake intervention will oc-
cur. Depending on the equipment and na-
tional-market version, the brake interven-
tion will occur up to approx.
35 mph/60 km/h or up to approx.
35 mph/60 km/h.
Detection range
Objects that the system can detect are
taken into account.

Warning
The system cannot serve as a substitute
for the driver's personal judgment in as-
sessing the traffic situation. Based on the
limits of the system, it cannot independ-
ently react to all traffic situations. There is
a risk of accident. Adjust driving style to
traffic conditions. Watch the surrounding
traffic situation closely, be ready to take
over steering and braking at any time, and
actively intervene where appropriate.
Warning
Indicators and warnings cannot serve as a
substitute for the driver's personal judg-
ment. Due to its limits, the system may not
issue warnings or reactions, or these may
be issued late or in a manner that is not
consistent with their normal use. There is
a risk of accident. Adjust driving style to
traffic conditions. Watch surrounding traf-
fic closely and actively intervene where
appropriate.
Warning
Due to system limits, individual functions
can malfunction during tow-starting/
towing with the Intelligent Safety systems
activated. There is a risk of accident.
Switch all Intelligent Safety systems off
prior to tow-starting/towing.
