Get Started

Step 1: Insert 2 fresh AA, batteries into the TX29U-IT sensor according to the polarity marked in the battery compartment.
Step 2: Insert 2 fresh AAA, Alkaline batteries into the wireless thermometer according to the polarity markings.
Step 3: After 5 minutes place sensor outside in a shaded location.

Set 12/24 Hour, Temperature Units, Time

SET / + buttons

  1. Hold the SET button to enter time set mode.
  2. Press the + button to adjust values.
  3. Press the SET button to confirm adjustments and move to next item.

Settings order:

  1. 12/24 Hour Format
  2. Hour
  3. Minutes

Note: 12h = ºFahrenheit & 24h = ºCelsius

Press SET to exit, or wait 30 seconds without pressing buttons to return to the normal time display.

Fahrenheit/Celsius

The temperature is displayed in Fahrenheit when in 12-hour time format and in Celsius in 24-hour time format.

Set hour time format

  1. Hold the SET button to enter time set mode.
  2. 12h or 24h will flash.
  3. Press the + button to change the time format (temperature display).
  4. Press the SET button to confirm.

Note: 12h = ºFahrenheit & 24h = ºCelsius

View/Reset MIN/MAX Readings

MIN/MAX button

  1. Press the MIN/MAX button once to view the minimum indoor and outdoor temperature.
  2. Press the MIN/MAX button once more to view the maximum indoor and outdoor temperature.
  3. Hold the MIN/MAX button for 3 seconds to reset all MIN/MAX temperatures.

Note: When using multiple sensors, press the CH button then the MIN/MAX button to view the MIN/MAX reading on a different channel

Outdoor Temperature Reception Icon/Channel Indicator

  • The outdoor temperature reception icon will flash every second when searching for the sensor.
  • Once connected, reception icon will show for 3 seconds once the outdoor temperature update is received.
  • The channel indicator will show below the outdoor temperature.
  • Press the CH button to view sensors on other channels.
    Note: Channel 1 will not show if only one sensor is connected.

Setup with Multiple Sensors

  1. Insert batteries into sensor 1
  2. Insert batteries into wireless thermometer
  3. When outdoor temperature appears, insert batteries into sensor 2
  4. When channel 2 appears insert batteries into sensor 3
  5. Keep wireless thermometer and all sensors together for 15 minutes.

Low Battery Icon

  • When the TX icon is displayed replace in the outdoor sensor.
  • When the RX icon is displayed replace batteries in the wireless thermometer.

Position Outdoor Sensor

  • Mount the outdoor sensor on a north-facing wall or in any well shaded area. Under an eave or deck rail is preferred.
  • The maximum transmitting range to the wireless thermometer is over 330 feet (100 meters) in open air, not including walls.

Restart

If the outdoor temperature shows dashes, remove batteries from the station & outdoor sensor. Press any button on the station 20 times. After 15 minutes, return to Step 1.

Care and Maintenance

  • Do not mix old and new batteries
  • Do not mix Alkaline, Standard, Lithium or Rechargeable Batteries
  • Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.
  • Replace all batteries of a set at the same time.
  • Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
  • Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+and -).
  • Remove batteries from equipment with is not to be used for an extended period of time.
  • Remove expired batteries promptly.
