CARE AND MAINTENANCE
GREASE FILTERS
The grease fi lters should be cleaned at least once
a month. Never operate the fan or the microwave
without the fi lters installed.
Gently pull down on the tab at the top of the fi lter
to remove it. Soak the fi lter in a sink or dish pan
fi lled with hot water and detergent. DO NOT use
ammonia or other alkali cleaners; they will react
with the fi lter material and darken it. Agitate and
scrub with a brush to remove accumulated dirt.
Rinse thoroughly and shake dry.
Replace the fi lters and ensure they click into place.

CHARCOAL FILTER

The charcoal fi lter is used in a non-ventilated
(recirculating) installation. The charcoal fi lter should
be changed every 6 - 12 months depending on use.
Ensure the microwave is unplugged before
removing the fi lter. Use a screwdriver to remove two
screws from the top panel. Open the door and lift
the louver up. Change the charcoal fi lter, push the
louver back into place and replace the screws.
To purchase replacement fi lters either contact
the consumer service department or visit
www.DanbyApplianceParts.com or www.
