There are several possible reasons why no detergent is coming out of the drawer in your Hoover H-Wash 300 Pro:
1. Blocked Detergent Drawer – Detergent residue may have built up in the drawer, preventing proper flow. Clean the drawer regularly with a microfibre cloth and avoid using acidic or aggressive cleaning products.
2. Clogged Dispenser Nozzle – The internal parts of the dispenser may be blocked by detergent residue or limescale. Running an empty wash cycle at 90 degrees once a month and using a washing machine cleaner every few months can help prevent build-up.
3. Low Water Pressure – If the water pressure is too low, it may not be flushing the detergent properly. Check your household water supply.
4. Pump Filter Issues – A clogged pump filter might affect water flow. The filter should be cleaned 5–6 times a year to prevent drainage problems.
5. Installation Issues – If the washing machine is not installed correctly, water may not be reaching the detergent drawer properly. Ensure proper installation and check for kinks in the water supply hose.
Cleaning the detergent drawer and ensuring proper maintenance should resolve most issues.

@Mr. Anderson thank you. My washer is less than four weeks old. I have had the drawer out, the two ‘exits’ for the washing liquid and the conditioner are clear. I did put a little extra liquid in the front of the draw, that powders normally go into, and I found the clothes came out smelling slightly of the Fairy washing liquid. I never have seen any ‘sudsy’ water in the drum, when I’m using the washer. Should I not expect that with the ‘A’ rating of the machine? Many thanks.

The Hoover H-WASH 300 PRO may not start when the START/PAUSE button is pressed for the following reasons:
1. The appliance may take a few seconds to start after pressing START/PAUSE. 2. The door is not properly closed. If the door is not fully shut, the DOOR LOCKED indicator will flash for about 7 seconds and the start command will be deleted. The door must be fully closed before pressing START/PAUSE. 3. The DOOR LOCKED light must be illuminated to confirm the door is locked. If it is not, the machine will not start. 4. A delay start may have been set. If so, the machine will start only after the countdown ends. 5. The machine is paused. Pressing START/PAUSE again will resume the cycle.
Ensure the door is closed properly and check for any delay start or pause status.
