SLS-WAVE

Administration Scanner

Overview

The Codonics SLS-WAVE Point of Administration

Scanner is used in conjuction with the Safe Label System

(SLS) Point of Care Station (PCS) and integrates with

Epic Anesthesia and Plexus TG's Anesthesia Touch

Anesthesia Information Management System (AIMS).

The system is used in the operating room to improve

safety and provide accurate, electronic documentation at

the time of administration.

Hardware Setup - SLS/AIMS

Note: An open USB port is required to connect SLS-

WAVE into the computer where the Epic or Plexus

AIMS application is operated.

1. Insert the four (4) screws through the bracket into the

SLS-WAVE housing and tighten with 3/32 L-key wrench.

2. Remove the cover to the scanner and insert the Ethenet

cable into the Ethernet port.

3. Replace the cover back on the scanner.
