13.3 Cut Sensitivity

The right hand set of controls shown on Figure 26, sets the sensitivity of the system to
intrusions where an attack is being attempted by cutting through the fabric of the fence.
Correct setting of the link in the Hi, Med or Low position and with the potentiometer
adjusted correctly will result in an alarm being generated provided more that one cut in
the fabric of the fence is made and the time between cuts is less than 20 seconds. An
event LED, shown in Figure 25, shows red when a cut is detected.
The setting of these controls should be done with the link for climb detection removed.
The 'FENCE' setting link has NO effect on the CUT detection

13.4 LED Indicators

Figure 26 shows the location of the three LED indicators used on the GeoZone 'A'
analyser. Both the alarm and tamper LED's show the condition of the output relays.
Event LED 1
The Event LED indicates the detection of a cut by briefly-flashing red.
Alarm LED 2
When the analyser is in the secure condition this LED will show green. The LED will go
red for approximately 0.5 seconds when an alarm is indicated.
Tamper LED 3
When the analyser is in the secure condition this LED will show green. The LED will go
red when the sensor cable is cut, short circuited or the end of line box is removed. The
