4. When all of the sensor is fixed to the
arris rail as described above, the
plastic strip must be secured using
GQTY-2 tie wraps. See Figure 18.
The maximum recommended
separation of the cable ties is 500mm
or a minimum of five ties per fence
panel. The cable ties are passed
round the arris rail and plastic strip
behind the palings and pulled tight,
securing the plastic strip and sensor
against the arris rail. With the cable
ties passed behind the pales of the
fence, there is no visible indication
from the outside of the fence that
anything is fixed to the fence.
5. Once all the tie wraps are in place cut
the excess tail off the tie wrap using
side cutters ensuring that the plastic strip is not damaged. Leave approximately
6mm of the tail protruding to allow for any slippage in the tie after tightening.

7.3 Allowing For Sensor Damage

If damage occurs, the damaged section should be removed and a new section inserted
using the GQCOMBO box. Since the junction boxes must be fitted on the posts the
sensor should be cut back to the next post along from the damaged section. See
Section Error! Reference source not found. for details on repairing sensor.

7.4 Corner Posts

As the corners of palisade fences are generally as rigid as the rest of the fence no
special sensor configurations are required when a corner is encountered.
