Ferrari transplanters, making adjustment of the distance versatile and immediate. There are several advantages in using the PSC. With the PSC you can set and accurately obtain the distance on the row of plants, and also monitor the machine’s work through the numerous parameters displayed.
2. QUICK CONSULTATION 2.1 WORK MENU Change the transplanting distance: briefly press change with and confirm by again briefly pressing Change the data displayed (travel speed, plants/hour, plants/hectare): to scroll through the “Historical Data” pages: Press “Historical Data” pages: Total and partial plants transplanted ;...
3. OPERATION AND SOFTWARE 3.1 WORK MENU When the machine is switched on, the first page (Page 1) of the WORK MENU is displayed on the LCD screen: PLANTS DISTANCE TRAVEL SPEED SUPPLY VOLTAGE Distance adjustment Press "Enter” (O) briefly and the plant symbol and arrows start blinking. Now press ▲ or ▼ to modify the transplanting distance on a row with resolution of ±...
Press ◄ or ► on the first page (Page 1) to scroll through the work menu pages and open the historical data pages, Page 2: Total and partial plants transplanted Page 3: Total and partial working hours : Page 4: Total and partial hectors worked : o reset the partial data, simply press “Enter”...

NOTE: CHOOSE WHICH SIMULATION TO USE During simulation with feedback, the movement speed of the transplanting bodies is controlled by the rotary encoder that detects the speed of the transmission shaft. This simulation can be useful for observing the movement mode and speed of the transplanting bodies at different travel speeds. It can also be useful for diagnosing any faults in the rotary encoder of the transmission shaft (or its wiring): if the signal is not detected correctly, the system does not control the speed correctly.

Example: encoder 400 pul/turn, wheel gear 100 teeth, encoder gear 26 teeth, wheel diameter 0.52 metres: Encoder Wheel: 1884 Number of motor encoder plant pulses (Encoder Motor) Indicates the number of motor encoder pulses corresponding to a plant transplant. This parameter is calculated with the following formula: The “transmission ratio”...

On the other hand, a less reactive control results in less precision over distance control, especially with any variations in speed. It is advisable to change the parameter only after receiving instructions from Ferrari Costruzioni Meccaniche technical staff.

Granulator applicator proportional output activation (Micro PWM) The PSC device provides a few auxiliary OUTPUTS. The "Micro PWM” output provides a PWM signal with duty cycle proportional to the travel speed, which is useful, for example, for increasing fertiliser dosage when the speed increases. This output is enabled by selecting <ON> on the "Micro PWM”...
3.3 RESERVED PROGRAMMING MENU (RESERVED MENU) On the first page of the programming menu, press “Enter” (O) for at least 3 seconds to open the reserved programming menu. Please open the reserved menu and change the parameters only under the supervision of Ferrari Costruzioni Meccaniche technical staff Use ◄...

“PSC Slaves” board selection (PSC Slaves) This setting is used if you want to add one or two additional boards to the main PSC hydraulic drive for transplanters with more than one independent transmission shaft. If you have one or more additional boards connected select “Yes”, otherwise select “No”.
3.4 OPTIONAL OUTPUTS: “ON-OFF MICRO” OUTPUT: The PSC "ON-OFF MICRO” output (see 4.WIRING DIAGRAM) is activated when the machine is in motion and deactivated when the machine is stationary. It can therefore be used to connect to a user (for example a granulator applicator) with the aim of optimising product supply.

5. ALARMS ALARM 1: Current is not detected in the proportional solenoid valve. Proportional solenoid valve DESCRIPTION connector disconnected, faulty proportional solenoid valve, faulty PSC electronic board PROBLEM: ALARM 2 Hydraulic motor movement is not detected. DESCRIPTION PTO not engaged, mechanical block, faulty motor encoder, proportional solenoid valve...
