Product description
The SPCE110 is a universal key switch expander.
It is used in combination with SPCK620/623 or
SPCE120 to release them for operation. In flexible
mode, the function of the LEDs and key positions
can be freely defined via the control unit. The
expander features also a buzzer for acoustic
notification and a freely programmable relay output.

Configuration of the relay output
The relay output can be configured to be normally
open or normally closed. This configuration has to
be done via the Jumper J4.
Jumper in upper position = normally open
Jumper in lower position = normally closed
Mount the bottom of the housing
Only mount the device on sub-surfaces made
of stable materials.
Mark the locations for 3 holes for the fastening
screws (Figure 1 item 12) and hole for the
corrugated-head screw (Figure 1 item 14).
Drill the holes and attach the bottom of the
housing with the screws.
Close the top of the housing
Hang the top of the housing on the top of the
bottom of the housing and press towards the
back.
 The two snap-fits on the lower part of the
bottom of the housing snap in.
Tighten the two screws on the bottom side and
seal them using the supplied seals (Figure 5).
Wiring the X-BUS interface
The X-BUS interface provides connection of
expanders and keypads to the SPC controller. The
X-BUS can be wired in a number of different
configurations depending on the installation
requirements.
NOTE: Maximum System cable length = number of
Expanders and Keypads in the system x maximum
distance for cable type.
Cable type
CQR standard alarm cable
UTP category: 5 (solid core)
Belden 9829
IYSTY 2 x 2 x 0.6 (min)
Fig. 6 shows the wiring of the X-BUS to an
expander/controller and the following
expander/controller in Spur Configuration. Terminals
3A/3B and 4A/4B (if available for this module) are
only used for using a branch wiring technique. If
using a Spur configuration, the last keypad is not
wired back to the controller.
