OPERATION

When you receive a call, that line's
green indicator flashes. To answer a
call, press the line button (
) next to the flashing green indicator

and lift the handset.
Follow these steps to place a call.
1. Press the line button for a line that is
not in use.
2. Lift the handset and listen for a dial
tone.
3. Dial the number.
You can check the status of each line
connected to the ET-294 by glancing at
the red line status indicator next to each
line button:
Red Indicator
Off
Lighted
Flashing
Note: If AC power fails or is disconnect-
ed, you can still make or answer calls,
but the line status indicators will not
work.

You have put a
call on hold
PUTTING A CALL ON
HOLD
Placing a call on hold lets you hang up
the handset or use the other phone line
without disconnecting the first call. To
place a call on hold, press
line's red indicator flashes.
To release a call from hold and continue
the conversation, press that line's but-
ton. You can also release a call from
hold by picking up any extension phone
on that line.

USING RESET

To end a call and place another call
without hanging up the handset, hold
down
for about one second.
RESET
Then dial the number when you hear the
dial tone.
