    However, each device you connect to the phone line draws power from it. This power draw is the device’s Ringer Equivalence Number, or REN. The REN is shown on the bottom of the ET-152. If you use more than one phone or other device on the line, add up all the RENs.

Adjust the headset band until it rests with almost no pressure on your ear and the top of your head. If the headset is loose, remove it and flex it inward slightly to tighten it.

    INITIATING THE SWITCHHOOK You must initiate the switchhook function the first time you use your ET-152, and anytime you move it to a new location and cannot get a dial tone. To initiate the switchhook function, press and hold down TALK/HANG for 2 seconds.

In areas with low telephone voltage, the ET-152 might not operate when other phones are active on the same line.
