the network settings and adjust the options as needed. See
"Conducting a HotSync operation via a network" later in this
chapter for more information.
7. Click OK.
Chapter 6
Identifies the port that Palm Desktop for IBM
WorkPad uses to communicate with the
cradle. This selection should match the
number of the port to which you connected the
cradle.
Note: Your companion cannot share this
port with an internal modem or other
device. See "WorkPad c3 components"
in Chapter 1 if you have trouble
identifying the serial port.
Determines the speed at which data is
transferred between your companion and
Palm Desktop for IBM WorkPad. Try the As
Fast As Possible rate first, and adjust
downward if you experience problems. This
setting allows Palm Desktop for IBM WorkPad
and your companion to find and use the fastest
speed.
