PREPARATION:

Park the vehicle on a secure and level surface.

Clean all mounting surfaces before beginning
installation.
INSTALLATION:
Note: This kit requires 2 other kits.

Winch Kit comes with winch, fairlead, contactor,
remote, and hardware.

Winch Kit mounts to Front Grab Bar w/Winch
Mount Kit.
Refer to the Owner's manual for procedures to
remove the hood panels, center panels along the
tunnel between the seat, and the covers over the
battery. You'll route some of the cables under those
panels and reinstall the panels when complete

2 Battery Kit / 2 Battery Wiring Kit
Recommended
It is possible to use only the main battery that comes
with the vehicle. However, Yamaha recommends this
accessory be installed along with the 2
and 2 nd battery wiring kit. If these two kits are
installed, connect the power lead to the '+' auxiliary
terminal in the battery area. Connect the ground lead
to the '-' auxiliary terminal in the battery area.
Mount the Winch
Bolt the winch to either of the two styles of Grab Bar
that include a winch mount, for this model. Mount the
winch to the Grab Bar with the bolts included in the
Winch Kit.
Install the Contactor
1. The Contactor is part of the Winch Kit (p/n SSV-
F740C-T0-00), and mounts inside the electrical
bay in the front of the vehicle.
2. Tilt the steering wheel all the way down, from the
inside of the cab, to provide more room during
installation.
3. Mount the Contactor near the coolant overflow
reservoir to the outside of the dash.
4. Position the Contactor against the dash in the
desired location, mark the locations of mount
holes, and then drill out the holes using shallow
drill penetration (1/4"). Use a drill bit slightly
smaller than the diameter of the mount bolts.
Install the bolts through contactor, walls of the
dash, and thread nuts onto the bolts.
5. Refer to Winch Kit installation instructions for
torque specs for the bolts.
