Error Messages

If an error occurs, a message will appear on the display. Use the following chart to confirm the problem and find an
appropriate solution.

Battery Power is Low.
Connect AC Adaptor
Backup Error
MIDI Error
Update Error
Please Reboot.
File Open Error
File Read Error
File Close Error
File Write Error
Connect USB Memory.
Cannot Record.
Cannot Play.
Operation Failed.
USB Device Error

Cause
The battery power is low.
The function cannot be used, since now power is
being drawn from batteries.
An error occurred reading the settings.
An error occurred while transmitting and receiving
MIDI data.
An error occurred during the update.
The instrument needs to be restarted.
An error occurred while reading the file.
An error occurred while writing the file.
No USB device is connected.
The USB device is write-protected.
Failed to play back the file.
File deletion failed.
An error occurred while accessing the USB device.
An error occurred while accessing the system file.
An error occurred while accessing the file.
During recording, the recording data size has
exceeded the remaining capacity of the USB device.
The remaining capacity of the USB device has run
out while writing a file.
The selected file was too large to read.
Failed to connect the USB device.
An abnormal current has flowed through the USB
device. (The USB device is defective.)
An unformatted USB device is inserted.
Solution
Replace all 6 batteries.
Turn off the power, connect the AC adapter,
and then turn it on again (pages 13, 14).
Do not remove the power adapter or batteries
until the screen display disappears when
turning off the power.
Check the connection status with the
computer or iPhone/iPad.
Turn off the power and then turn it on again
(pages 14, 15).
Check the connection status of the USB
device and the content data of the device.
Check the USB device connection status,
device data contents, and write protect
status.
Connect a USB device (page 33).
Check the write protect status of the USB
device.
Check the USB device connection status,
device data contents, and write protect
status.
Delete unnecessary files of the USB device,
on your computer.
Reduce the size of the file.
Check the USB device status, and then
reconnect the device.
Unplug the USB device and use another USB
device.
Check the format of the USB device. This
instrument only supports FAT32 format.
