3. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
To use the SW60XG, the SW60XG driver and the application software should be properly installed in your com-
puter.
CAUTION: If your computer is running Windows 3.1, the installation program will overwrite the contents of the MIDI
Mapper. The installation program also modifies the AUTOEXEC.BAT, SYSTEM.INl and CONTROL.INI files. It's a good prac-
tice to make back-up copies and/or print out the text of these files before you install the SW60XG application software.
Installation Procedure for Windows 3.1
1. Insert the install CD-ROM into your CD drive (Note: some SW60XG cards may be supplied
with the installation files on floppy disk instead of CD-ROM).
2. Click [File] in the Menu Bar of the Program Manager window, then click [Run].
Run Dialog Box will appear.
3. In the command line text box, type "D:\SW60INST\SETUP.EXE".
NOTE: The example assumes that you will be installing from the D (CD-ROM) drive. If you are installing from a drive
other than D, substitute the letter designation of the drive in which the install disk is inserted.
4. Press the <ENTER> key.
When the Install Disk is verified, the following Setup screen will appear.
5. Click [OK] to proceed.
The drive/directory to which the SW60XG software is to be installed will appear.
