4. Insert Install Disk into your CD-ROM drive (or floppy disk drive), and click [Next].
Run Installation Program Dialog Box will appear.
5. Type D:\SW60INST\Setup.exe) and click [Finish]. (You may also use the [Browse] button to
locate the setup file)
6. A dialog box will appear asking "Start the software setup procedure now?"
Click [OK].
The Setup screen will appear.
7. If the default directory (C:\SW60XG) is acceptable, click [OK].
Setup will proceed and a dialog box asking if you would like to restart Windows will appear.
8. If you wish to restart Windows, click [Yes]. Windows will restart and your SW60XG software
is installed.
9. To verify operation, go to the SW60XG Installer CD-ROM and open Xg_files\Demos. Select
any file with a .mid extension and double-click. Prepare to be blown away. The Windows
Media Player will open and play the file.
Additions to the AUTOEXEC.BAT, SYSTEM.INI and
CONTROL.INI files
The SW60XG software program will automatically add the following lines to these files.
AUTOEXEC.BAT *"_" indicates a space.
rem—SW60XG installer wrote. Do not modify the following_line—
C:\SW60XG\efcon_/type:1_/line:100_/mic:100_/midi:100_/vcl:0
rem—
*By adding the above lines to AUTOEXEC.BAT when you make a start-up disk for DOS games, you
can control various aspects of the game sounds. See the section on EFCON for more information.
