    6) See the Nameplate on the Rear Panel, and check that your voltage supplied corresponds with the voltage specified on the Nameplate. 7) This icemaker needs a storage bin. The recommended storage bin is HOSHIZAKI ICE STORAGE BIN, Model B-800 series.

Normal operating ambient temperature should be within +45°F to +100°F; temperature should be within +45°F to +90°F. Operation of the icemaker, for extended periods, outside of these normal temperature ranges may affect production capacity.
  • Page 8 Before operating the icemaker, the Bin Control Thermostat must be installed correctly. 5) Install the Bin Control Thermostat as follows. See Figures 3a, b and c. (a) Remove the Tie securing the Bulb Holder. Remove the Thermostat Bracket (A) from the Shipping Hook by lifting up the Bracket (A) and shifting it to the right.
  • Page 9 If a Hoshizaki Bin is being used: (j) Remove the two screws holding the Bulb Holder (C) and the Thermostat Bulb Attachment together. Put aside the Bulb Holder (C); it is not needed with the Hoshizaki Bin. (k) Use two of the screws to attach the Bin Control Bracket Extension to the Thermostat Bracket (B).

    The two copper tubings should be insulated separately. See Fig. 9. • A connector kit “OS-QUICK” is available for field-fabricated lines from Hoshizaki America. • R-404A precharged tubing kits, available as optional equipment from Hoshizaki America, are recommended.

    3) Connect the Fan Motor leads in the Junction Box of the remote condenser unit to the Fan Motor leads in the Junction Box of the HOSHIZAKI remote air-cooled icemaker. 4) Install a ground wire from the icemaker to the remote condenser unit.

Be sure to energize the icemaker about 12 hours before initial start up or after prolonged shut down--otherwise, energize at least 1 hour before start up--to warm up the Compressor.

More frequent cleaning, however, may be required in some existing water conditions. 2. To prevent injury to individuals and damage to the icemaker, do not use ammonia type cleaners.

    1) Dilute approximately 38 fl. oz. of recommended cleaner Hoshizaki “Scale Away” or “LIME-A- WAY,” (Economics Laboratory, Inc.) with 7 gal. of water. 2) Remove all ice from the Evaporator and the Storage Bin. Note: To remove cubes on the Evaporator, turn off the power supply and turn it on after 3 minutes.
