Trouble or fault

WARNING
Risk of injury due to incorrect disposal! Health hazards due to escaping gases or liquids.
▶ DO NOT send batteries through the mail!
▶ Cover the terminals with a non-conductive material (such as electrical tape) to prevent short circuiting.
▶ Dispose of your battery out of the reach of children.
▶ Dispose of the battery at your Hilti Store, or consult your local governmental garbage disposal or public
health and safety resources for disposal instructions.
Most of the materials from which Hilti products are manufactured can be recycled. The materials must be
correctly separated before they can be recycled. In many countries, your old tools, machines or appliances
can be returned to Hilti for recycling. Ask Hilti Service or your Hilti sales representative for further information.
▶ Do not dispose of power tools, electronic equipment or batteries as household waste!

Possible cause
Retaining lug on battery or tool
interface dirty.
Battery state of health is not opti-
mal.
Only one charged battery inserted.
The product is too cold.

▶ Clean the retaining lugs and
re-insert the batteries.
▶ Call up the battery's state of
health. → page 19
▶ Insert the second charged
battery.
▶ Bring the product into contact
with the working surface, switch
it on and allow it to idle. If
necessary, repeat the procedure
until the hammering mechanism
begins to operate.
▶ Immediately switch off the prod-
uct. Remove the batteries and
keep them under observation.
Allow them to cool down. Con-
tact Hilti Service.
▶ Switch off; allow the
tool/batteries to cool down.
▶ Batteries too cold. Bring the
batteries to the recommended
working temperature.
