Chapter 6: Getting Started

6.1 Startup Wizard

When the DVR is powered on it displays the Night Owl logo while initializing.
After initialization, you are prompted to use the Startup Wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to:
Complete the basic setup of your DVR.
Upgrade the firmware.
Set up the Night Owl Connect App.
Configure notifications.
Test your cameras locally.
Create an Admin password.
Configure the recording settings.
